Our Story
The Developmental Pod was born from years of experience working with children and families across a variety of pediatric settings.
Throughout our careers in early intervention, outpatient therapy, hospital care, and school-based services, we noticed something important: many families had questions about their child’s development long before they ever entered therapy, but didn’t know where to get the answers.
Parents often wanted to understand whether their child’s development was typical, how to support emerging skills at home, or whether therapy might eventually be needed. But there were very few places families could turn for thoughtful guidance outside of a traditional therapy model.
The Developmental Pod was created to offer families something different — a safe space where parents can ask questions, gain insight, and receive expert developmental guidance in a supportive, collaborative way.
As clinicians, and as parents ourselves, we understand that caring for a young child can feel both joyful and overwhelming. Our hope is that through this work, we can help families Nurture Growth and Build Confidence in navigating each stage of development.
