Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? You’re in the right place.
Here you’ll find answers about how The Developmental Pod works, what support looks like, and how we partner with families to guide early development with confidence and clarity.
The Developmental Pod is a parent-focused support service that provides expert guidance from pediatric Occupational and Physical Therapists. We help you understand your child’s development and give you practical, real-life strategies you can use in everyday routines and play.
The Developmental Pod is for parents of infants and young children who:
Want to feel more confident supporting development
Have questions or mild concerns
Are waiting for services or want support between visits
Simply want to be proactive and support their child through play
You do not need a diagnosis to benefit from support.
We support infants and toddlers, focusing on early development through the early childhood years.
No. The Developmental Pod does not replace skilled Occupational or Physical Therapy services.
We are here to support, guide, and empower you as a parent—whether you are:
Not needing therapy
On a waitlist
Currently in therapy and looking for more support between sessions
You’ll have direct access to message us with questions, updates, or videos of your child. We respond with thoughtful, individualized guidance you can easily carry over into your day.
You can reach out about anything related to your child’s development or daily routines. For example:
“Is this typical for their age?”
“How can I help with tummy time / transitions / play?”
“They’re struggling with __ — what can we try?”
“Can you look at this video and give feedback?”
There are no “small” questions—this space is designed for real-life support in the moment.
We aim to respond as promptly as possible so you feel supported in real time! Every message will be answered within 24-48 business hours.
That’s exactly what we’re here for. You don’t need to wait until something feels like a “big problem.” We can help provide reassurance, guidance, or next steps—whatever is appropriate for your child.
Traditional therapy focuses on direct treatment sessions with your child.
The Developmental Pod focuses on you—giving you the tools, understanding, and confidence to support your child throughout your everyday routines.
The Developmental Pod is a private pay service and is not covered by insurance. This allows us to offer more flexible, personalized support that fits your family’s real-life routines—without the restrictions that often come with insurance-based care.
